History

Globe Life Field is the current home of the Texas Rangers. The ballpark opened in 2020, replacing the Rangers’ former home right next door. It features a retractable roof, which is much appreciated between the summer heat and the spring rain. I will note, though, that it seems like the roof at Globe Life is open more than it's Houston counterpart. Globe Life Field hosted the neutral-site World Series in 2020, and it later became the site of the Rangers’ first World Series championship celebration.

Atmosphere

The vibe at Globe Life Field has really picked up in recent years, especially with the Rangers becoming contenders. The stadium feels modern, and even sitting in the 300s, it's easy to follow the game below. Even in an early season matchup, the fans showed up early and stayed deep into the game.

Concessions

Food at Globe Life Field offers a strong mix of ballpark staples and Texas-sized options. You’ll find classic hot dogs and popcorn, but also barbecue, brisket sandwiches, loaded nachos, and other hearty favorites. There’s plenty of local beer available as well. I recommend the brisket egg rolls, and I've heard the Three Strike Boombox (2 feet of loaded waffle fries) is good if you're with a group!

Access

Globe Life Field is located in Arlington’s entertainment district, right near AT&T Stadium. Most fans drive, and there are plenty of surrounding parking lots, though traffic can stack up before and after games. Rideshare is available with designated pickup zones, but public transportation options are limited compared to larger downtown ballparks. Planning ahead with parking is usually the key to a smooth game-day experience - definitely recommend getting a parking pass before the game!
