History

Truist Park opened in 2017 (originally as SunTrust Park) as the new home of the Atlanta Braves, giving the team a fresh start after their time at Turner Field. It’s located in Cumberland, just outside of Atlanta, and is part of The Battery Atlanta area packed with restaurants, bars, and shops (more on this in just a second). The park and The Battery was designed to make game day more of an all-day experience, and it definitely delivers.

Atmosphere

The vibe at Truist Park is awesome, especially since the Braves have been so competitive in recent years. When the team is rolling, the place gets loud in a hurry, especially in key NL East series. Even before first pitch, The Battery is buzzing with fans grabbing food and drinks, and even on non-game days or while the Braves are away, The Battery is a must stop if you're in Atlanta. It’s one of those parks where showing up early (and staying late) just makes sense.

Concessions

Food-wise, Truist Park has a little bit of everything. You’ve got your classic hot dogs and nachos, but there’s also solid barbecue, Southern comfort food, and plenty of local beer options (I recommend any Terrapin brews). They also offer some value menu items at certain stands, which is always a win. Overall, it’s a nice mix of traditional ballpark food and local Atlanta flavor.

Access

Most people drive to Truist Park, and honestly, it’s pretty straightforward if you plan ahead; just make sure to give yourself plenty of time especially for weeknight games. There are lots of parking decks around the stadium, but buying a pass before you go is a smart move. Rideshare is easy too, with designated pickup and drop-off spots. There's no public transit options to Truist (at least, no convenient ones), but it sits just outside the perimeter making it easily accessible via car.
